Summer 2025 Applications Open April 1st!
The UCLA x Kern K-16 Educational Collaborative Project offers a FREE UCLA summer college course through the UCLA Future Educators Pathway Program. The UCLA Future Educators Pathway Program is open to high school and community college students within Kern County. This Summer, we are offering Education 10, an introductory course to Educational Issues and Scholarship. This course will provide students with college units to apply to their degree programs once they are at their four-year college or university!

Available to High School Juniors & Seniors
Students (ages 16-18) enrolled in our Summer 2025 course by May 2nd, are eligible for the STEAM Summer Externship, a hands-on learning experience designed to introduce students to STEAM education and workplace readiness. This externship provides practical exposure to the education field and serves as a stepping stone for students interested in future opportunities within the KCSOS STEAM Yard program. What is the Kern Project?
The UCLA School of Education & Information Studies and Kern County are partnering to offer a free concurrent enrollment course to high school and community college students.
Enrolled students have access to our UCLA College Mentors, who are here to help with any support you need throughout the rest of the school year, including scholarship applications, financial aid forms, and resume building.
